Lets do fall a little differently this year! Instead of the traditional grays, black, and nature inspired reds and browns, designers are gearing towards pastels. Colors like lilac, baby blue, and blush have been spotted all over the runway in designer collections like Gucci, Miu Miu, Just Cavalli and Nina Ricci. Pastels have been incorporated in color blocked and monochromatic looks this season. My favorite way to rock this trend is by color blocking darks with lights. This allows the pastel color to stand out as the focal point of the outfit, which can be seen in the featured look. I accessorized this outfit with a black turban, color blocked handbag, black belt and a gold watch.
Try It!
1. Wear a black leather pencil skirt with a pastel top and coat.
2. Try different shades of the same color. Wear a pink flared skirt with a sweater in a slightly darker shade.
