Hi Loves,
Mixing patterns and adding splashes of color are some of my favorite concepts in styling. I draw a lot of my pattern play inspiration from traditional African attire and celebrities like Solange Knowles. This beautiful bright yellow top came from my local Target. I got it in a large instead of my normal size to allow for more versatility. For this look I used safety pins to create the gathering in the front. I paired it with a black and white checkered high waist skirt and black lace up pumps. This look was completed with messy hair and a red lip. I’d have to say that this was one of my favorite color and pattern combos yet!
